I am getting a message, "Out of Virtual Memory" when running the program in Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
When playing the game on a 256MB system with Windows 2000 or XP, you may see an Out of Virtual Memory Error while playing or when exiting this game. This occurs in part because of the higher memory requirements for Windows 2000 and XP. If this occurs, we recommend that you exit the game and reboot your computer to clear the memory before playing again. If the problem persists, you may want to adjust your Page file settings to allow Windows to start the game with more virtual memory. Consult Windows Help for information on how to modify your Page file settings.
I am getting a message, "Unable to authenticate original disk with time limit" when I try to run the game.
This indicates that the copy protection is having an issue reading the CD. Check the following:
- Make sure you are using the original CD, not a burned copy.
- Shut down all background applications
- Check the CD for fingerprints or smudges, and clean any off with a soft cloth.
- Disable any virtual CD-ROM software you may have running (Alcohol 120, Nero, Clone CD, etc.).
I am getting a Nvidia Open GL driver component missing or driver mismatch error when I try to run the program.
This occurs when the drivers for the Nvidia video card are out of date. Install the latest driver from http://www.nvidia.com. Also, make sure to update DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/directx
